The Beaverdam Bunch held a 4-H meeting this past Monday, June 3. The group discussed old business. Fair entries are due Monday, July 1. The group needs to start thinking about ideas for our booth.

Summer open houses at Schumacher Homestead began last Saturday.
“Are you a ghost?” a little girl once asked Schumacher Homestead volunteer Susie Gratz, who was dressed in the somber black cap, long full dress, and apron worn by women in the Bluffton-Pandora area Swiss Settlement in the mid 1800s.
Gratz assured the youngster that she was real and alive, and could show her how families in the area lived more than 150 years ago.
State Route 103 between state Route 698 and township Road 71, between the villages of Jenera and Arlington, is expected to close Monday, June 10, for approximately 45 days for a pavement repair and shoulder widening project. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 235, U.S. 30 and U.S. 68 back to state Route 103. Work is being performed by Helms and Sons, Findlay. (see map)
Bluffton Public Library is supplying free art supplies and space for 6th-12th graders to come and be creative in the Youth Room from 1-3 p.m. today. Free Art Space will occur again on Thursdays, June 27 and July 11 from 1-3 p.m.
Summer Park play dates will be held on the first and third Mondays of June, July and August at the Jenera Community Park Playground at 9:30 am.
According to planners of the events, persons may come when you can and stay as long as you are able. Bring your kids and grandkids of all ages and enjoy time to play outside and enjoy the summer weather.
The kids can play with others, run around and burn off some energy while the moms, grandmas, and caregivers visit.
