Collecting care package items for deployed service men and women

For the sixth year, Bluffton Child Development Center will participate in the Blaze of Lights parade and invites public participation.
"This holiday season, we will be collecting items to send care packages for the deployed men and women overseas," said Francine Donathan, Center director.
"We will be walking through the parade with shopping carts to collect donations. Items can also be dropped off at 325 County Line Road, Bluffton, Ohio 45817 by Tuesday, Dec. 3," she said.
Blanchard Valley Hospital on Becker's Hospital Review’s list for fifth time

Blanchard Valley Hospital has been named one of Becker's Hospital Review's "100 Great Community Hospitals" in the United States. This is the fifth time that the organization has received this distinction.
Becker's Hospital Review's 100 Great Community Hospitals list is based on a hospital's quality, accolades and service to its community.
Veterans living in the Pandora-Gilboa School District are invited to the Annual Veterans' Banquet on Monday, Nov. 11, at 5:30 p.m., at the Pandora United Methodist Church, 108 E. Washington St., St. Rt. 12

Citizens National Bank will host a series of free seminars featuring Robert J. Morgan, Senior Consultant with Austin Associates, LLC.
Local business owners are invited to hear Morgan present his economic forecast for 2020. He will discuss current market conditions and what he expects to see in regards to unemployment, housing and the challenges facing business owners in the upcoming year.

Village Cut ‘N Curl, 212 Cherry St., Bluffton, now has three owners, according to Lynda Best.
The three are Best, Lori Steffen and Janis Badertscher. Lynda worked with Janis and Lori’s salon at Hair Quarters for three months following the May 2 flood, which closed Cut 'N Curl for remodeling.
According to Lynda, after working so well during that period, the three decided to become partners at the newly remodeled Village Cut 'N Curl.
A grand reopening is set for 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3. Ron and Sue Epp of Bluffton own the building.
