Storyteller/musician performs Saturday at The Quarry Farm

Rural Pandora event includes vegetarian and vegan feast

The Quarry Farm Nature Preserve & Conservation Farm, rural Pandora, hosts an evening of music in the gardens on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. 

Russ Gibson, a veteran performer, will strike a common chord with his storytelling, vocals and guitar performed for listeners of all ages.

Alongside the music, a vegetarian and vegan feast will be available, prepared by Steven Coburn-Griffis.

Free community meal in Pandora on Sept. 25

The Pandora United Methodist Church will be hosting a free Community Meal on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall,108 E. Washington Street, Pandora.  

This month's meal is provided by Ted’s Market. The menu is pulled pork sandwich, au gratin potatoes, green beans, beverage and dessert.

Here's the road work schedule on I-75 and US 30 next week

As it affects local traffic patterns

Here's what you need to know about I-75 and U.S. 30 road work for the week beginning Sept. 16 as it affects local traffic patterns.

Interstate 75 - Hancock County
Interstate 75 northbound at Hancock county Road 99, Findlay, will experience shoulder closures through the work zone for erosion repair at the interchange.

All ramps at the interchange are expected to be maintained throughout the project. Work is being performed by Miller Contracting Group, Inc., Ottoville.

University hold nature event for children Sept. 21

Led by Amy Norris, naturalist and program coordinator

Bluffton University is hosting a fall nature walk for children at the Moyer Nature Center and Bluffton University Nature Preserve.

Led by Amy Norris, naturalist and program coordinator, the event will take place from 11 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Sept. 21. 

The programming will be geared toward preschoolers and kindergartners; however, the whole family is welcome to learn about trees and butterflies.

Presbyterian Church hosts community picnic Sept. 22

Bluffton Presbyterian Church will hold a community picnic from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 22, at the church on the corner of Main and Cherry streets.

The free picnic includes shredded chicken sandwiches and hotdogs, cookies, snacks, drinks, music and games.

Citizens National Bank customer appreciation day Sept. 20

Citizens National Bank invites viewers to a Customer Appreciation Day Friday, Sept. 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m,. at the Bluffton office at 102 S. Main St. 

Free grilled hamburgers or bratwurst sandwiches, chips and ice cream will be served. Attendees may enter to win a variety of door prizes.

The bank hosts this annual event as a way to show appreciation for its customers.

“We really look forward to spending time with our customers at this event each year,” says Steve Ritter, Bluffton City Executive.
