Tips on starting flowers, veggies, herbs from seeds March 1

Does this spring-like weather have you in the mood to start indoor plants for spring?

If so, The Gardeners’ of the Bluffton/Pandora Area can help you get started. The gardeners will hold a lecture on seed starting.    
 
 Expert grower Ann Boyd, owner of My Own Backyard Herbs and Flowers, will discuss the proper way to start flowers, vegetables and herbs from seed. Her talk is at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, in the Bluffton Public Library.

Pandora UM hosts free community meal Feb. 24

The Pandora United Methodist Church will host a free community meal on Wed. Feb. 24  from 5:30- 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora.  The meal this month is provided by the Rebecca Circle. The menu is hot chicken sandwich, cole slaw, baked beans, dessert and beverage.

Ohio Has Talent! competition on Niswonger stage, Van Wert, March 5

The ninth annual Ohio Has Talent! competition returns to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Van Wert on Saturday, March 5, at 7 p.m.

The benefit show raises funds for Community Health Professionals Hospice patient care fund. This year’s show features 18 local and regional performers competing for $1,000, $500 and $250 prizes determined by audience votes.

Masterworks performance of Vivaldi's "Dixit Dominus" Feb. 28 in Yoder Recital Hall

Bluffton University’s Masterworks performance of Antonio Vivaldi’s, “Dixit Dominus,” will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28, in Yoder Recital Hall.
 
The choir is comprised of two different choral groups: Bluffton Choral Society and University Chorale.  Dr. Mark J. Suderman, Bluffton professor of music, will conduct the performance, featuring regional soloists and orchestra.

Grace Albrecht Gallery to host Senior Exhibits

Senior graphic design majors, Beth Ross, Paulding, Ohio, Abby Graber, Goshen, Ind., and Jenny Brown, St. Marys, Ohio, will be showcasing their most prominent work from the four years they have spent at Bluffton University.
