Chappell-Dick earns third ODAC runner of the week award

Hannah Chappell-Dick, Bluffton, is building an impressive campaign in her final cross country season, earning her third Old Dominion Athletic Conference Runner of the Week award today.  With three full-fledged races under her belt on the season, Chappell-Dick has now been named the ODAC Runner of the Week after each of them.

The Royals ran at the prestigious Paul Short Run last Friday, and the women entered a challenging field of 387 runners from mostly D-I and D-II programs.  Even with the wet and chilly weather, Chappell-Dick thrived in the setting and landed the best 6k time in the conference this season while shattering her personal record.

She was the third D-III runner in the race with a time of 22:00.5.  It was just the third time in her career that Chappell-Dick ran under 23 minutes on a regulation 6k course.  Her previous PR was 22.54.8.

This is the fourth ODAC weekly award in cross country for Chappell-Dick, to go along with three she has earned in track & field.
