Terrill Webb to compete for national title in pole vault

March 7, 2016

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The NCAA announced final selections for the men’s and women’s Indoor Track & Field National Championship at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa. Bluffton University will be represented by junior Terrill Webb (Kenton) in women’s pole vault. Webb is tied for the 6th-best clearance in the nation among Division 3 athletes.

Narrowly missing qualification were fellow Beavers D’Nae Reese (Columbus/Upper Arlington), who finished 18th in women’s weight, and Edgar Gonzalez (Melvindale, Mich.), who ended up 19th in men’s weight.

“I am so proud of Terrill and all she has sacrificed in order to advance to the national level,” said head coach Karen Brandt. “That pride extends to D’Nae and Edgar as well. To head off to Iowa knowing we have three athletes in the top 20 in their respective events across the entire nation is quite gratifying!”

Women’s pole vault will be contested Friday, March 11, at 11 a.m. Central Time.
