The Bluffton University softball team will host day camps for advanced and youth players.
An advanced day camp will take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, July 18-19. During the camp, for students entering grades 7-12, participants will have the opportunity to advance their skills in fielding, hitting, base running and more under the guidance of Bluffton University coaches and players. The cost is $75.
A youth day camp will be held from 9 a.m.-4p.m. on Wednesday, July 20. This camp is for students entering grades 1-6 in the fall. This camp will teach softball fundamentals including proper throwing, fielding and hitting mechanics. Bluffton coaches and players will also lead this camp. The cost is $45.
A low player-to- coach ratio will help players develop skills suited for their age and skill level. Learning will be emphasized through drills designed to improve technique in a fun, competitive atmosphere.
Campers will need to bring a sack lunch, water bottle and all softball equipment. The camps will be held on the Bluffton University softball field, and all participants will receive a t-shirt.
