NW Physical Therapy 5-K benefits hockey team

Northwest Physical Therapy, with an office in Bluffton, will hold its 10th annual Poker Run 5K Run/Walk for Charity to benefit the Northwest Ohio Arctic Wolves sled hockey team. The hockey team started in August 2014.

Sled hockey is the same as stand-up ice hockey, but is for people with physical disabilities that prevent them from being able to stand and play. A sled and two short sticks with picks are used to propel the player on the ice. Sled hockey is a paralympic sport and in 2014, our USA Men’s National team took the gold in Sochi.
