Christian Peacemaker Team visits university

As part of Bluffton University's Pathways scholars-in-residence program, three members of Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) will be on campus Nov. 10-12. The three members include Sylvia Morrison, Sandra Milena Rincon and Tarek Abuata. During their visit, they will be visiting students and classes, as well as speaking during forum on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m.

Art exhibit focus on "creative process"

Bluffton University will present an art exhibit "In the Beginning: The Creative Process Revealed," Monday, Nov. 9, through Friday, Dec. 18, in the Grace Albrecht Gallery of Sauder Visual Arts Center. The exhibit will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and is free and open to the public.

Rudi Kauffman, assistant professor of restorative justice, will present "Cursed are the Just Warmakers," at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in Stutzman Lecture Hall in Centennial Hall, as part of Bluffton University's Friday Colloquium Series. The event is free and open to the public.

Bluffton University announces 2010 Athletics Hall of Fame inductees

Bluffton University recently announced the 2010 inductees into the Bluffton University Athletics Hall of Fame. The 2010 inductees include Al Beitler '76, Kimberly (Spiegel '93) Mutchler and Emil Knorr '57. The 1967 baseball team will also be inducted. Guest columnist: Saying goodbye

I have a friend who has been through a very tough year. His mother and stepfather died within days of each other. Less than a month later his house burned and was a total loss. He works crazy bad hours - 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. with three days on and two days off, seven days a week.

Yet, in the midst of all this badness, he has never lost his gentle spirit.
