You're going to go "cow tipping" this weekend; it's the BHS spring play

The cast is ready and Kevin Gratz calls it one of the funniest plays he's ever directed. 

It's "The Cow Tippers" and it's the spring Bluffton HS drama.

Here's performance times:
Friday, April 15,  and Saturday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 17, at 2 p.m. on the Middle School stage.

The Ride to Remember

This year's Ride to Remember planning committee met last week to work out details for this year's Saturday, July 16, bicycle ride in Bluffton. In the center is Bill Triplett with Richard Ramseyer, Ryan Brauen, Darrell Groman, Raymond Harner, Jessica Hermiller and Joseph Beagle. Click here for more details about the event.

Duck races, face painting, music, games...all Saturday at Riley Creek Festival

Bluffton University will host the annual Riley Creek Festival from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the Sommer Center.
 
Open to the public, the event is free except for lunch, which costs $9 for community members.
 
The festival will feature family-friendly inflatables, face painting, music, games and other activities, concluding with the traditional rubber duck race on Riley Creek. Rubber ducks will be sold for $1 each, with proceeds to benefit Crime Victim Services in Lima. Duck race winners will receive prizes donated by local businesses.
 

Meet the BHS March student of the month

Elizabeth Nisly is the March Bluffton High School student of the month. Elizabeth is the daughter of Lamar and Deborah Nisly of Bluffton. She is a senior and has a 4.000 gpa. She is in Spanish Club and on the Academic Team. 

She was a National Merit Scholar Finalist,  voted "Youth of the Year" by the Exchange Club, and was an Academic All Ohio track athlete.

She is currently a member of the Bluffton track team and ran cross country in the fall.

Lewis Family McDonald's offer tax relief special April 18

Lewis Family McDonald’s is giving people a break on tax day. Participating locations will be offering a special promotion for its guests on Monday, April 18. Customers who buy a Quarter Pounder with Cheese can get the second for just 18 cents.

“Our customers look forward to our tax relief special each year,” said Jerry Lewis, local McDonald’s owner/operator. “This promotion is just one more way to offer great value.”

The promotion is available at McDonald’s in Lima, Bluffton, Delphos, Ada, Van Wert, Beaverdam, Ottawa, Upper Sandusky, Carey, Kenton, and Hicksville.

Hilty Home-NW Physical Therapy open house in Pandora April 21

Hilty Home, Pandora, part of Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO), and Northwest Physical Therapy (NWPT) announce a community open house Thursday, April 21 from 4-7 p.m. at Hilty Home,  304 Hilty Drive, Pandora.  

Light refreshments will be available and staffs of Northwest Physical Therapy and Hilty Home will be present.

The public is invited for tours and to get answers to questions about the new partnership.
