Bob Cupp sworn In as state rep of the 4th House District

State Representative Bob Cupp (R-Lima) this week was sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 132nd General Assembly. He represents the 4thOhio House District, which comprises all of Allen County, for a second term.

"It's an honor to represent the people of Allen County in the Ohio House for a second term. I look forward to continuing to work for job-friendly policies,  getting a hold of the heroin and drug menace, and ensuring consistency in school standards and funding as this two-year legislative session gears up."

Prior to his service in the Ohio House, Representative Cupp has held positions in all three branches of government as an Allen County commissioner, a four-term state senator, a court-of-appeals judge, and a justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio. He also served as a city prosecutor and as Chief Legal Counsel to Ohio Auditor of State, Dave Yost.

In addition to his public service, Rep. Cupp practiced private law in Lima for more than 25 years and has taught courses in leadership studies, judicial process, and state education policy at Ohio Northern University, from which he graduated.

Rep. Cupp and his wife, Libby, have two grown sons, both of whom are Eagle Scouts, and two grandchildren. They reside in Lima.
