Marylin Basinger worked in Bluffton school cafeteria 25 years; MMH 10 years

Service is Friday at English Lutheran Church

Marylin Jean (Dillman) Basinger died Oct. 1, 2017, at 2:25 p.m. at Bluffton Hospital.

Marylin was born May 19, 1942, in Bluffton to Donald and Treva Dillman who preceded her in death. On July 5, 1964, she married Richard Basinger and he survives in Bluffton.

Marylin retired from Bluffton Schools after 25 years and also retired from the Mennonite Memorial Home after 10 years.

Survivors also include a son, David (Kelley) Basinger of Atlanta, Georgia; a daughter, Barbara (Kevin) Koziara of Orlando, Florida; three grandchildren, Michael Koziara, Katie Basinger, Will Basinger; two step-grandchildren, Brittany and Zachery Koziara; step great-grandchildren, Kylie and Emma Koziara; a brother, Jim (Evelyn Grace) Dillman of Bluffton; a sister, Diane (Jim) Elshire of Wapakoneta, Ohio; and three brothers-in-laws, Fred (Jan) Basinger of Lima, Tom (Pam) Basinger of Findlay, and Jerry (Paula Kruse) Althaus.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 6, at English Lutheran Church, Bluffton.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bluffton.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton and one hour prior to the service at the church.
