Mildred Criblez volunteered at Bluffton Hospital for 33 years

Mildred Zoe Criblez, 97, died Dec. 31, 2017, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Mildred was born June 8, 1920, in Cairo, Ohio to William and Anna (Candler) Parker who preceded her in death. On Feb. 15, 1942, she married Maurice "Dock" Criblez who preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 2011.

Mildred graduated in 1938 from Columbus Grove High School. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton. Mildred was also a 4-H adviser for 10 years and a volunteer at Blanchard Valley Health Center in Bluffton for 33 years.  She enjoyed gardening and sharing her beautiful flowers with her friends and family.

Survivors include a son, Ted (Renee) Criblez of Bluffton; a daughter, Ruth (Randall) Wilhelm of Ft. Jennings, six grandchildren, Linda, Sally, Chris, James, Ryan, Eric; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Criblez and a daughter-in-law, Mary Criblez.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Service, Bluffton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County Hospice or Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
