Connie Long was a Pandora-Gilboa HS graduate

Constance "Connie" Sue Long, 48, died Jan. 23, 2019, at the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus. Connie was born July 17, 1970, in Bluffton to Donald and Darlene (Lytle) Burkholder.  On May 6, 2000, she married David Long and he survives.

Connie graduated from Pandora-Gilboa High School and from the Ohio State Beauty Academy in Lima.  She had previously worked at Blanchard Valley Center in Findlay and volunteered at the Et Cetera in Bluffton. 

Connie was a member of the Leipsic Fishing and Hunting Club. 

Survivors include her husband, David Long; her parents, Donald and Darlene Burkholder of Ottawa; a brother, James (Tricia) Burkholder of Ottawa, nine nieces and nephews, Sam, Noah, Ben, Libby, Matt, Phil, Savannah, T.J. and Joey; a brother in law, Doug (Robin) Long of Fostoria, and her in-laws, Gene and Dorothy Long of Bluffton.

Connie was preceded in death by a brother, Justin Ray Burkholder.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Brian Haller officiating. Burial will be in Harmon Cemetery near Gilboa.  Visitation will be Monday from 2 - 4:00 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Ohio State University - Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital.
