School board action will involve several 2019-20 issues

Janelle Bogart announces her teacher resignation

Bluffton school board’s Monday evening agenda includes several back-to-school items.

Among items on the agenda include:
• Approval of payment for transporting students to private schools
• Increase the BHS student PSS Ocean Focus fund by $1,795
• Textbook disposal of eight books (7 middle school; 1 high school)
• Enter an agreement with Pandora-Gilboa schools for special education

The board will act on approving a transportation routing plan for 2019-20. Regular drivers are Adrienne Gossard, DeAnn Scott, Robin McDowell, Brian Goldsberry, Larry Diller, Steven Hardesty, Melissa Pilarsh and substitute drivers Robyn Bible, Rod Goldsberry, Donald Leader, William McClain, Jon Stratton, Michael Wilson and Steve Zimmerly.

The board will act on breakfast and lunch prices. Those prices follow:

Breakfast
$1.50 - Elementary, middle, high school
$2 – adults

Lunch
$2.50 – elementary and middle
$2.75 – High school
$3.25 – Adults

The board will act on two resignations: Janelle Bogart, teacher, and David Glick, faculty manager, effective immediately.

Kasey Krendl, will be offered a one-year teaching contract at $38,755; and Melissa Richards will be offered a one-year teaching contracts at $46,286.

Several supplemental contracts are on the agenda. Two student teaching assignments to be approved are for Taylor Daniels, ONU student with Nicole Anderson and Vickie Garmon, Aug. 26 to Dec. 13. And, Erica Diller, BGSU student with Stephen Lemley, Aug. 21 to May 1, 2020.

Elementary summer academy certified contracts and substitute contracts will be acted upon.
