Bluffton High School celebrates in 2019 homecoming this weekend. Here are the members of the homecoming court and drivers. Watch the Icon for more homecoming details this week.
Senior King and Queen Candidates:
Libby Schaadt is the daughter of Brandon Schaadt and Allison Shafer. A three-sport athlete at BHS, she is a member of the volleyball, basketball, and softball teams. She is also a member of Renaissance and has been a member of Latin Club, math club and team, National Honor Society. She is also involved in the Allen County Youth Leadership Program and St. Mary's Catholic Church’s youth group.
When she has the time, Libby likes to spend time with family and friends, play travel softball, watch the bachelor/bachelorette/bachelor in paradise, play with her doggies, and take naps. She plans to major in sports medicine and play softball in college.
Luke Denecker is the son of Greg and Chris Denecker. He is a member of the basketball and track and field teams at BHS. He is also involved in Latin Club, Math Club, National Honor Society, is the Vice President of his class. Outside of school, Luke is a member of the God Squad and is a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Allen Lima Leadership committee, and is employed at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home.
When not occupied otherwise, Luke likes to travel, exercise, hang out with family and friends, and play sports and video games. He was a homecoming crown bearer is 2007. Upon graduation, he plans to attend college and major in either business or engineering.
Kayla White is the daughter of Rebecca Hasting and the late Doug White. At BHS, she is a member of the soccer and basketball teams, Student Senate, and works at the Twisted Whisk cafe.
Kayla enjoys working at the middle school in a special education classroom, hanging out with my friends and family, and making TikToks with her little sister. She was also on homecoming court her freshman year. After high school, Kayla plan to go into special education but is still undecided on a university.
Jimmy O’Donnell is the son of Sue and James O'Donnell. At BHS, Jimmy is involved in choir, game club, and is on the E-Sports team. Outside of school plays in the Hot Shots bowling League and works at Padrone’s Pizza.
When he has free time, Jimmy enjoys playing video games with friends, creating fun YouTube videos, and procrastinating. Upon graduation, he plans to join the military in either the Air Force or Navy.
Olivia Burner is the daughter of Mike and Jennifer Burner. At BHS, Olivia is on the soccer team, and is involved in show choir and chamber choir. Outside of school, she volunteers at the Mennonite Memorial Home and plays club soccer.
In her free time, Olivia enjoys watching The Office and spending time with friends. She was also on homecoming court as a sophomore. Next year, Olivia plans to major in physical therapy with hopes of being admitted to The Ohio State University.
Baylor Garmatter is the son of Eric and Julie Garmatter. He is very involved in athletics at Bluffton High School as a member of the Football, Basketball, and Track teams.
Outside of school, Baylor is an employee at Padrone’s. In his free time, Baylor enjoys playing video games and eating. Upon graduation, he intends on pursuing engineering.
Freshmen Attendants:
Amy Jebsen is the daughter of Chris and Sarah Jebsen. At BHS, she is involved in cheerleading, show choir, spanish club, and student senate. She is also a member of the youth group and worship team at Lima Community Church and an employee at Suter's Produce. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano, and hanging out with her friends.
Beau Stever is the son of Jill Schmutz and Greg Stever. He is on both the football and basketball teams. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his friends, listen to music, and fish.
Sophomore Attendants:
Adalyn Wright is the daughter of Kerry and Krista Wright. At BHS, Adalyn is a member of both the art club and track and field team. She is a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church and can be found babysitting or working at Suter’s Produce. When given the time, she enjoys reading, playing the piano and singing.
Roric Dunifon is the son of Nikki and Joel Dunifon. He is a member of the Track and Field team at BHS. He enjoys doing activities at his church, spending time with friends, playing video games, running, and drawing.
Junior Attendants:
Rebekah Hoff is the daughter of Scott and Brigette Hoff. At BHS, Bekah is on both the varsity soccer and softball teams. She is also involved in Latin club, math club, band, band council, National Honor Society, Renaissance, and volunteers in the elementary school during the school day. Outside of school, she is active at St. John Mennonite Church as a member of their youth group, an Ignite and VBS leader, and an AWANA sparks leader. She is also on the Allen County Jr. Fairboard and is a 4-H club member. Bekah is employed at Suter’s Produce and often helps out at her grandparent’s farm.
Tayton Kleman is the son of Travis and Elisa Kleman. He is on both the soccer and wrestling teams and also plays for the Greater Toledo Soccer Club in the spring. He is also involved in show choir, Latin Club, National Honor Society and Renaissance. Tayton is also participates in campus life and youth group at St. John Mennonite. In what little spare time remains, he enjoys working on cars.
Crown Bearers:
Ellia Zink is the daughter of Seth and Kara Zink. Elijah Fry is the son of Jeremy and Ashley Fry.
Drivers:
Carson Krupp is the son of Rob and Julie Krupp. He is a member of the Bluffton golf team, Spanish club, and Marathon Engineering Explorers. Carson works at the Bluffton Golf Club as a groundskeeper.
Andrew Lovett is the son of Wes and Jenny Lovett. He is a member of show choir, Spanish club, National Honor Society, basketball, soccer, and is a member of the youth group at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He is employed at Suter’s Produce.
Ben Baxter is the son of Todd and Stephanie Baxter. At BHS, Ben is a member of the Art, Latin, and Spanish clubs. He is employed by the Bluffton Dari Freeze.
Seth Gladwell is the son of Paul Gladwell. He is a member of the Art Club at BHS. Outside of school, he is a member of 4-H where he shows market steers at the Allen County Fair.
Madison Fleece
Sebastian Baker is the son of Tracy and Jeff Baker. He is employed by Padrone’s Pizza and was in 4-H.
Nick Jebsen is the son of Chris and Sarah Jebsen. At BHS, Nick is on the basketball and track teams and participates in Student Senate, Show Choir, and National Honor Society.
