Brad Fruchey resigns from Bluffton school board

Board accepting applications to fill his position

Resignation due to purchase of Riely Creek Sportswear, which presents a conflict of interest of him serving as a school board member.

 

Brad Fruchey, a member of the Bluffton school board for the past 18 years, announced his resignation, according to Greg Denecker, Bluffton superintendent.

The board is now accepting applications from residents of the district who are interested in fillilng Fruchey's postion.

The announcement from Denecker follows:
Bluffton Exempted Village Schools is announcing a vacancy on the board, due to the resignation of Brad Fruchey. 

The board would like to thank Brad for his nearly 18 years of service and dedication to our district.  Mr. Fruchey resigned from the Board of Education due to the purchase of Riley Creek Sportswear, which presents a conflict of interest for him to continue to serve on the Board of Education. 

Therefore, the board is seeking applicants to be considered for the appointment of this position. 

Anyone interested should submit a resume, along with a one-page maximum letter, as to why the applicant would like to serve on the Bluffton Exempted Village Board of Education. 

Interested applicants should submit the above materials by 3 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11, in an email to Board President Wes Klinger at [email protected] or drop off the material to the central office at 102 S. Jackson St., Bluffton.
