CONVOY - Visiting Bluffton swamped Crestview 7-0 in Northwest Conference girls soccer action Tuesday night.

The one-sided win lifted the Lady Pirate record to 2-2-1 overall and 2-0 in NWC play. The Lady Knights fell to 3-2 and 0-1 in the NWC with the loss.

Seven different Bluffton players tallied a goal as they built a 4-0 cushion by halftime and cruised to victory.

Pirates Reagan Mittendorf (12th minute), Laykin Garmatter (18th), Clara Matthews (26th), Olivia Smallcombe (37th), Allison Diller (61st), Kendal Giesige (73rd) and Brenna Kindle (78th) all found the back of the net.

Diller, Sami Scoles, Garmatter and Matthews each passed out one assist.

The Bluffton offense fired 41 shots, 22 of which were on goal.

Crestview did not manage to get off a single shot against the stingy Pirate defense.

Busy Knight keeper Crestview Emily Karcher was credited with 15 saves. Pirate goalie Julia Mehaffie did not have to make a save to record the shutout.

The Lady Pirate kickers host Riverdale Saturday, September 12.
