Volleyball Pirates win in 3 sets

BHS moves to 10-5 overall and 3-3 in NWC after beating Spencerville

BLUFFTON - The host Bluffton girls soccer team swept struggling Spencerville in a Northwest Conference volleyball match Thursday night.

Bluffton upped its record to 10-5 overall and 3-3 in the NWC with the 25-20, 25-9, 25-14 victory.         

Spencerville fell to 2-11 overall and 0-5 in NWC play with the defeat.
 
Kylie Stackhouse slammed 22 kills, served three aces and came up with two blocks to lead the Pirate girls. Taylor Schwab contributed five digs and four aces to the winning effort. 

Haelynn Bischoff knocked down five kills.     

Setter Skyler Scoles passed out 26 assists and mustered six digs. Kylie Monday came up with six digs, while Sophie Bricker added five digs. 

The Pirate junior varsity also won in straight sets, 2-0.    

Bluffton plays host to non-league foe Patrick Henry (6-6) Oct. 5. The Pirates then visit NWC foe Columbus Grove (8-7, 2-3 NWC).
