School will continue 4 days in-person through second grading period

Nov. 3, election day, will become a remote learning day

Bluffton schools will continue its four days of in-person learning and Fridays as remote-learning during the second nine week period, which ends Jan. 15, 2021, according to Greg Denecker, superintendent.

"Our plan of four days of in-person learning and Fridays as remote-learning-for-all has been successful, we will continue with this model into the second nine weeks," he said in a letter on the school website yesterday.

"As with the first nine weeks, we will assess toward the end of the second nine weeks and determine if we continue with the model or change our approach," said Denecker.

Election day change
Denecker's letter listed some fall updates. Those follow:

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Our elementary school is a polling location; therefore, we will switch our remote learning day that week from Friday, Nov. 6 to Tuesday, Nov. 3. (K-12)

Parent-teacher conferences will be held virtually or via phone call on Monday, Nov. 23, and Tuesday, Nov. 24 (including evenings). More information will be coming from each building to schedule these conferences.
