Wallace Geiger worked for Evangelical Alliance Mission

Wallace Geiger, 93, passed away October 1, 2021 at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. Wallace was born March 2, 1928 in Pandora to the late Monroe and Anna (Hofstetter) Geiger. On August 3, 1951 he married Wanda Tschiegg Geiger who preceded him in death on April 25, 2021. 

Wallace graduated from Pandora High School and also the Grace College of Bible in Omaha, Nebraska and later the Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana. In 1957 he left for France to work with the Evangelical Alliance Mission. Wallace was highly involved in church planning near Paris, France. He also was active for the TEAM Field Council for the country of France where he also served as the field chairman. Retirement began in 1997 for him and his wife, Wanda after 40 years of service overseas. Wallace was an active member of the St. John Mennonite Church in Pandora where he served as chairperson of the Missions Committee for 14 years.  

Survivors include three children, Nancy (J. Rob) Bromhead of Clifton, Virginia, Craig (Kathy) Geiger of St. Charles, Illinois, Philip (Su) Geiger of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a brother, Mahlon (Anne) Geiger of Pandora.  

Wallace was preceded in death by three sisters, Wava Wiens, Lois Voran and Treva Geiger.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 7, 2021 at St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora.  Pastors Paul Perkins and J. Rob Bromhead officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be Thursday, October 7, 2021, 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Mennonite Church Mission Fund.
