Sign-up underway for popular fall-winter youth programs

School Day Out Camps, basketball, kid's night out

Sign-up is underway for several popular youth programs at Bluffton Family Recreations, 215 Snider Road, fall and winter schedule, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

Adult Session 3 fitness class sign-up underway at BFR

Register now for Bluffton Family Recretion fall Session 3 fitness classes. This is the first week of the session, announced Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

Classes are in four-week sessions, and all adult fitness classes are free for members.

Fall fitness class schedule
• Oct. 29- Nov. 23 - session 3
• Nov. 26-Dec. 21- session 4

BFR now has two certified TRX sports medicine trainers

Jamie Nygaard and Britny Zwiebel

Bluffton Family Recreation now has two certified TRX Sports Medicine trainers, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

The two, Jamie Nygaard and Britny Zwiebel, advanced from their previous TRX qualifications to the trainer level with classwork taken this summer.

BFR offers TRX classes Mondays through Fridays at 5:30 a.m. and also weekday evenings.

In mid-August BFR opened its Mercy Health Fitness Studio in the former mezzanine area overlooking the indoor soccer court. TRX classes are held in the studio.

Last chance to sign up for soccer, coed softball and flag football

All indoor programs at Bluffton Family Recreation

Sign-up ends next week for three popular indoor Bluffton Family Recreation programs, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

The three programs include:
• Indoor soccer – Session I includes 5 weeks of games from Nov. 4 to Dec. 8
• Coed softball – Games are Friday nights with teams of 6 members
• Flag football – for 5 to 7 year olds. Games are Sunday mornings.

Kid's art zone demo at BFR Thursday

Call to register

Bluffton Family Recreation will hold a "kid's art zone" demonstration on Thursday according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

The free demo is for youth ages 5 to 12 and takes place from 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, at BFR, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton.

The demo is limited to the first 10 sign-ups. Call BFR at 419-358-4150 to register your youth.

BFR fall youth Session 3 registration underway

Classes Oct. 29 to Nov. 23

Bluffton Family Recreation's fall youth Session 3 is now open for registrations, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director. Session 3 classes are from Oct. 29 to Nov. 23. Following it is Winter Session 1 with classes from Nov. 26 to Dec. 21.
