An adult summer mission trip to New Bern, N.C. is being organized by the First United Methodist Church Mission and Outreach Team for the week of July 7-13.
The trip will involve repair and restoration of homes damaged by Hurricane Florence that devastated the community in September 2018. The mission organization is Samaritan's Purse who oversees and coordinates the various building projects.
The Beaverdam Bunch held a 4-H meeting this past Monday, June 3. The group discussed old business. Fair entries are due Monday, July 1. The group needs to start thinking about ideas for our booth.
Congratulations to Mallory Hardesty and Kaitlin Thurmond for staying with us until they graduated this year.

Gratz assured the youngster that she was real and alive, and could show her how families in the area lived more than 150 years ago.
