Camerata Singers featured on First Presbyterian Church, Findlay, concert series

The Bluffton University Camerata Singers will present its concert, Precious Lord Take My Hand, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, in the sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church, 2330 South Main St., Findlay. The concert, part of the church's 32nd Concert Series, is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be received.

Camerata Singers was established in 1984 as an outgrowth of a larger mixed choir. The Italian meaning of Camerata is company - a small group that meets for artistic reasons.

Bagpipe performer provides special music Sunday at Bluffton Presbyterian

David Yarnall

David Yarnall will play the Great Highland Bagpipe at Bluffton Presbyterian Church Sunday, March 18, to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. He will play during the 10:15 a.m. service.

He will play Highland Cathedral, Amazing Grace, Londonderry Air and Ode to Joy. Yarnall, who lives in Springfield, has played bagpipes for over 35 years. He's also an accomplished artist.

Light supper prior to Trinity Lutheran March 21 Lenten service

A special Lenten service will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera, at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 21.

Vicar Michael Schneider from Immanuel Lutheran Church, Findlay, will deliver the sermon on "Shed No Tears for Jesus." The students of Trinity's third and fourth grades will sing "What Grace is This!" with violin and keyboard accompaniment.

Messiah in the Passover program given March 18 at Riley Creek Baptist

Messiah in the Passover, a demonstration showing how Jesus fulfilled the ancient feast of Passover, will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday, March 18, at Riley Creek Baptist Church.

Messiah in the Passover begins with the traditional Passover Seder table - complete with all the articles of this important Jewish celebration.

Bluffton Baptist Church spring revival services March 25-28

Bluffton Baptist Church will hold its spring revival Monday through Wednesday, March 25-28, according to John McMinn, pastor.

Pastor Jonathon Reichman of Riverside Baptist Church, Tulsa, Okla., is the speaker. He holds a master's of arts in religious education from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary. Jason McDonald of Columbus, is the music and worship leader.

Services are Sunday at 10:45 a.m. and Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Services are open to the public. The church is located at 345 County Line Road, Bluffton.

Famed St. John's UCC Players present "who done it?"; SHANNON Club provides Italian dinner - March 18

The famed St. John's Players will present the suspenseful drama "Pasta, Passion and Pistols," at 4 p.m., Sunday, March 18, in Oppermann Hall at the St. John's United Church of Christ.

Members of the SHANNON Service Club will serve an Italian dinner. A free-will offering will be taken. Persons interested in tickets or reservations may contact the church office at 419-358-5641. Reservations are helpful so the chefs know how many meals to prepare.
