Lions Club honors Larry Core as its 2019 Citizen of the Year

Larry Core, former Bluffton village administrator, is the 2019 Bluffton Lions Club Citizen of the Year, according to the club’s selection committee.

Core, a life-long Bluffton resident and Bluffton High School graduate, has served in several community project and organizations, both behind the scene and as a major player.

Perhaps his greatest village accomplishment was his untiring devotion to bringing DTR (today SumiRiko Ohio) to the village.

He also played an instrumental role in assisting GROB Systems to locate in Bluffton.

Letter: About the sign in our driveway

Icon viewers:
The sign is in our driveway....for the past 19 years we have had anywhere between one and 10 grandkids at our house every day including the summer. As many grandparents in the area, we became day time caregivers and for 19 years have had some of the best memories a grandparent could have!

I also knew that our grandkids would eventually outgrow the daycare. Who would’ve ever guessed that it would’ve been because of the world situation that we’re all struggling with.
