Garlic talk on October 3

Guest Speaker Amanda Wischmeyer, owner of Little Riley Creek Farm, will be talking about planting, raising and harvesting garlic at the October 3 meeting of the Gardeners of the Bluffton Pandora Area.

Four talks about Bluffton ghost stories

Four Bluffton ghost story talks by Fred Steiner take place in October, according to the author of the newly released “Where Bluffton’s Ghosts Sleep.”

Citizens National Bank will host Customer Appreciation Day on October 6

Area residents and businesses are invited to a Customer Appreciation Day celebration on Friday, October 6, from 11:30 am to 1:00 p.m., at the Citizen National Bank Bluffton office,102 S. Main St. 

Free lunch including hamburgers, brats, sides and a cookie, will be served. Attendees may also enter to win a variety of door prizes. 

The bank hosts this annual event as a way to show appreciation for its customers. “We’re really looking forward to networking with our customers and having the chance to thank them in person for the trust they place in our bank every day,” says Brandt Miller, Bluffton Market President.

Registration is open for Quarry Farm 5K Run/Walk 

PANDORA—The Quarry Farm Nature Preserve & Conservation Farm, Pandora, is holding the 8th Annual Quarry Farm 5K Run/Walk event on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. The race will be held rain or shine.

Pre-registration is available online at www.thequarryfarm.org under "Events". Registration on the day of the event begins at 8:30 a.m.  Check-in for preregistered participants is from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Citizens Wealth Management Group to host Social Security seminars

Citizens Wealth Management Group (CWMG) is hosting a series of seminars regarding Social Security. During this presentation, many common questions regarding when to take it and how to structure your retirement will be addressed. Lima Patrol Post open house for 90th Anniversary

In celebration of the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s 90th anniversary, the Lima Post is  hosting an open house for members of the community. The open house allows our Patrol personnel, including troopers, and professional staff, to interact with the public we serve. 

September 28, 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Lima Patrol Post, 2005 E. Fourth Street, Lima

Members of the community can tour the facility, ask questions and learn about  employment opportunities with the Patrol. A recruiter will be on-site to assist with any  recruitment questions and help with the application process.
