Men's bball: Ebbeskotte, Taflinger each hit 20 in Beavers' loss

The Bluffton University men's basketball team let a 12-point second half lead slip away as the Manchester University Spartans stole a 68-67 victory over the Beavers on Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the Sommer Center. Bluffton fell to 6-10 overall and 2-7 in the Heartland Conference, while Manchester improved to 3-13 overall and 2-7 in the HCAC.

2013 baby name report from Bluffton Hospital: What shall we name the baby? Grayson if it's a boy; Sophie if it's a girl

In 2013, “Grayson/Greysen/Greyson” was the most popular name among over 200 babies born at Bluffton Hospital. 

According to a list of names provided to the Icon by the Bluffton Hospital OB Department, “Grayson/Greysen/Greyson” was the most frequent name out boy and girl names, appearing five times. 

Other boy names that appeared multiple times were “Alexander/Alexzander”, “Braxton”, “Cooper”, “Isaiah”, “Issac”, “Jackson/Jaxon/Jaxson”, “Jace/Jase/Jayce”, “Liam”, “Lincoln/Linkin” and “Sawyer”.

Bluffton chamber launches monthly "cash mob" - first one at The Dough Hook Jan. 29

Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce announces a new monthly program promoting downtown shopping in Bluffton.

Each month the chamber will hold a “Cash Mob Day.” The first one is from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, with The Dough Hook, 117 N. Main St., as the host business. The downtown meat market and deli will extend its normal hours until 5:30 p.m. to allow additional shoppers to visit the business.
