Mildred Lugibihl was a farm wife

Mildred “Millie” (Schutz) Lugibihl, 88, died on September 10, 2023 at Willow Ridge-Betty House, Bluffton.  She was born in Putnam County on March 27, 1935, to Albert and Irene (Cherry) Schutz.  She lived nearly all her life on the family farm.

H.W. Enderle served in the U.S. Army

Horace William Louis "H.W." Enderle, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in Findlay, Ohio.

H.W. was born October 3, 1929, in San Antonio, Texas, to Horace William Louis Sr. and Mary Magdalen (Ahr) Enderle. In 1951, he married Betty Sauter, who has been his companion, partner and friend for more than 70 years.

Mildred “Millie” B. Lugibihl, 88, passed away September 10, 2023 at Willow Ridge – Betty House in Bluffton. 

Visitation will be Friday, September 22, 2023 from 4:00- 7:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation  Services, Bluffton.  

Millie’s service will begin at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora.

A private burial will take place in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora. Arrangements are pending at Chiles-Laman Funeral  & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Homer Thomas Reichenbach worked for Lincoln National Life Insurance

Homer Thomas Reichenbach (Tom) died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of September 3, 2023, his 87th birthday. Tom died in his home at Maplewood Park Place in Bethesda, MD. He survived a stroke in 2019, and bravely fought prostate, lung and kidney cancer.

Jack L. Steiner worked for the Lima Ford Engine Plant

UPDATED September 9, 2023.

BEAVERDAM--Jack L. Steiner, 76, passed away September 7, 2023 at his residence.  Jack was born November 22, 1946 in Bluffton to the late Harold and Lucille (Shafer) Steiner.  On April 21, 1979 he married Angela Hartman Steiner and she survives.

Colonel Larry Ruggley was retired from the U.S. Army

Colonel Larry Dean Ruggley, United States Army (Retired), age 71 of Butler, KY passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2023. COL Ruggley retired from the United States Army after 34 years of service where he was a Special Forces Green Beret.  

He will always be remembered as a loving husband and devoted family man, enjoying his final years in his favorite role of Grandpa. He loved the life that him and his wife built, driving his tractor around the farm, and could be seen at his grandchildrens’ sporting events.  

COL Ruggley was born in Bluffton, Ohio and preceded in death by his parents Harold and Mildred (Grismore) Ruggley. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marie Ruggley; his children, Monica Ruggley, Sabrina (Christian Hutchinson) Hazen, Brian (Erica) Ruggley and Annina Ruggley; his sister Peggy Ruggley; his nephew Ray (Sue) Ruggley Jr.; and grandchildren, Nicholas, Cameron, and Madison Mandel, Ava Ruggley, Nathaniel Hazen, Ella Ruggley, Kaylin Parsons and Grace Hutchinson.

COL Ruggley began his military career in 1971 when he enlisted in the Army and served in the Army Security Agency, being Honorably Discharged in 1973, after which he attended Lima Technical College and Ohio University.
