Think your player might be ready for travel soccer? Bluffton Soccer Club travel team tryouts for girls and boys entering grades 2-8 will be held on May 28-29 at the Citizen National Bank fields, at the end of Citizen Parkway.

Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler starred in the 2003 movie titled Anger Management. The movie was a comedy about an interaction between a normally mild-mannered gentleman and his anger management therapist. Television and the movies will often portray someone having a heart attack with an angry outburst.

How much do we know about the impact of anger on our health?

The Journal of Psychosomatic Research evaluated the impact of trait anger on sleep quality. The study found those with trait anger did not feel rested and experienced excessive daytime sleepiness. 

What is trait anger and how does it differ from anger in general?

Mobile Advocacy Initiative comes to Pandora

Crime Victim Services has announced the launch of a Mobile Advocacy Initiative in Putnam County. Bi-weekly walk-in sessions will be held at Grace Mennonite Church in Pandora throughout the summer, welcoming all who seek support.

BSA to become Scouting America

The Black Swamp Area Council has shared the national announcement that Boy Scouts of America is changing its name to Scouting America.

"The new name reflects the continuing efforts to welcome everyone to experience the benefits of Scouting," explains Marc Kogan, Black Swamp Scout Executive. The name change will go into effect on February 8, 2025, the organization’s 115th birthday.

Kogan notes, “We are excited to continue to welcome all youth into Scouting.  Scouting makes youth prepared for life teaching today’s youth to become leaders of tomorrow!”
