Bid opening Friday; special council meeting to accept bids Monday

Two events this week and next will get the million-dollar Jefferson Street improvement project moving. Once it is underway traffic patterns in the village will change as the street will be closed for construction.
• A bid opening at 10 a.m., Friday, March 15, takes place in the town hall. Jesse Blackburn told Bluffton council he is encourage that 10 prospective bidders have requested bid sheets for the project.
• A special council meeting at 7 p.m., Monday, March 18, is set for the purpose of accepting bids on the project.
Tuesday evening session lays out the 2019 market arrangements

New and returning vendors are invited to a meeting with Bluffton Farmers Market manager Greg Probst at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12.
The meeting will take place on the third floor of Bluffton Town Hall, 154 N. Main St. That evening, vendors will learn about promotional opportunities and may reserve full-year spaces at a discounted price.
Located in the Citizens National Bank parking lot in downtown Bluffton, the Bluffton Farmers Market is open on Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. - noon, May through October.
