Andrew Renner has 39 point weekend for Beavers

1-point loss to Westminster; 83 to 58 pounding of Theil

The Bluffton University men's basketbal team headed east to Westminster College for the Buzz Ridl Classic over the weekend. A three-pointer at the buzzer gave Westminster a 71-69 victory in Bluffton's season opener from New Wilmington, Penn.

Denny Edinger, local craftsman, created an impressive window display area for Et Cetera Shop earlier this month. The volunteer project enables the shop to have a more attractive window display. 

Free community meal in Pandora on Nov. 20

The Pandora United Methodist Church will be hosting a free Community Meal on Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. The church is located at 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora. 

The meal is provided by First National Bank of Pandora. The menu is shredded chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, assorted desserts and beverages.

Several Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce members are making news this month. Here’s a brief summary from the chamber.

Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 7

Interested in having breakfast with Santa?

The Bluffton High School junior class is bringing Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus to Bluffton on Saturday, Dec. 7.

Tickets are now on sale for the fundraiser held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the middle school cafetorium.

The event includes a light breakfast, games, crafts and the opportunity to have your photo taken with Mr. and Mrs. Santa.

Tickets may be purchased in the middle school office or from Angie at the village office in town hall. Tickets are $5. Proceeds go to the junior class post prom.

PromoHits accepting nominations for PromoCares Program

Selected charities will receive funds generated from January to June 2020

PromoHits Ltd., Bluffton, continues to commit to donating 5% of its total product sales to local charities through its PromoCares initiative, according to Melinda Bowen, owner.

To date, the program has generated $26,866.50 with two months left to go in 2019.

“We are grateful to our clients who have supported our desire to help others and, through their orders, have assisted us in helping eight charities who are making a difference in the lives of so many,” said Bowden.
