One of the village improvements made along Jefferson Street this year was a clean-up of the National Quarry view from the street. Prior to the sidewalks and curbing added to Jefferson Street, the view of the quarry was limited due to the overgrown tree and shrub growth. With those things removed and a new stone appearance you can see the quarry through the trees. Additional photos are in this series.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a new medication to treat breast cancer.
This new approval is called Enhertu (fam-trastuzumab deruxtecan-nxki).
The FDA approved Enhertu to treat adults with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive breast cancer that cannot be removed with surgery or has spread to other parts of the body.
HER2-positive breast cancer is aggressive and accounts for an estimated 20 percent of breast cancers, according to the FDA.
The Bluffton University men's basketball team traveled to Earlham, Ind., on Wednesday, Jan.15, to take on the Earlham College Quakers in a mid-week Heartland Conference clash. It went back-and-forth but unfortunately for the Beavers, the Quakers would pull away late, sealing a 74-67 setback for the visitors. Bluffton fell to 7-7 overall and 3-4 in the Heartland Conference, while Earlham improved to 6-8 overall and 2-5 in the HCAC.
