Small scale beekeeping

June 17 program hosted by Transition Bluffton

Join Transition Bluffton and Jon Tuttle for a field presentation on small scale beekeeping.  We will meet Tuesday, June 18, at 7 p.m. at Little Riley Creek, Jon and Amanda’s organic farm.

The farm is located at 9255 Lugabill Road, about three miles south of Bluffton.  Tuttle will give a primer on beekeeping basics, including hive location and equipment.

There will be time for questions and answers.  This will be a good demonstration of how we can respond to the declining bee population throughout the country.
