Expect a snow emergency issue by the village - this article explains how it affect residents

 It’s on the way.

With the possibility of several inches of snow to fall over the next 24 hours, expect a snow emergency to be issued by the Village of Bluffton tonight or overnight, according to the Bluffton police department.

“Please pass the following information on and help your neighbors understand this,” Ryan Burkholder, police chief said.

Here’s what it means
• Special rules are in place for parking vehicles on roadways and in municipal parking lots.

Bluffton boys tame Wildcats

BLUFFTON - Shooting well from three-point territory, homestanding Bluffton posted a methodical 64-56 victory over winless Kenton in a non-conference boys basketball matchup Saturday night. 

The Pirates led 23-21 after a high-scoring the first period. Trey Boblitt enjoyed a monster quarter as he canned four three-point goals and tallied 14 points.
 
Bluffton led 35-31 at intermission and Boblitt added six more markers in the second stanza.

Bluffton chocolate walk postponed until Feb. 25

Because of winter storm advisories, Bluffton’s second annual downtown Chocolate Walk has been postponed until Thursday, February 25 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Nine Bluffton merchants are selling tickets in advance and providing wrapped, individually portioned chocolate treats.

Tickets are $10 each and a maximum of 200 tickets will be sold. The full ticket price will be donated to the Bluffton Community Assistance Program and Bluffton nonprofits supported by the United Way of Greater Lima.

Village hopes for additional FAA funding for airport in 2021

New electrical aggregation contract is lower than previous contract

The village of Bluffton submitted a pre-application to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the design and construction phases of work at the Bluffton Airport in 2021, according to Jesse Blackburn, village administrator.

He updated Bluffton council on the project at its Feb. 8 Zoom meeting.

The pre-application is for reconstruction of taxi lanes C, E, and F for 2021.

This morning I went downstairs and made my breakfast smoothie like I do every day. I sit down and eat breakfast with my parents on the weekends because we do not usually have anywhere to rush off to.

We talk about our plans for the day, or whatever is on our hearts. Sometimes, we immerse ourselves in some of the most high-minded conversations of my life. We talk about religion, philosophy, politics, celebrities, etc. There aren’t really any limits when it comes to our discourse.
