The hottest new drug in town

Last night, while finishing up the commercial cleaning account, we decided that pancakes and bacon sounded good for dinner. Sometimes we like breakfast at the end of the day. Mixes things up a little! A. asked if we had everything we needed and I did a quick rundown in my head. The only thing we were short on was maple syrup.

University students present Advent musical

Students at Bluffton University will present "Behold the Lamb of God," by Andrew Peterson, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, in Ramseyer Auditorium in College Hall.

The event is free and open to the public. The musical uses contemporary music to tell the story of the coming of Christ. The event is sponsored by the Campus Ministries department

Beth Boehr-Miller receives CFC designation

Beth Boehr-Miller of Bluffton, recently earned the designation of Certified Financial Counselor from internationally-known financial expert and author, Dave Ramsey of the Lampo Group, Inc. after completing an intensive training program at the Dave Ramsey Headquarters in Brentwood, Tennessee.

The Dave Ramsey Certified Financial Counselor training program involves training professionals from around the nation to teach and care for Financial Peace University members and The Dave Ramsey Show listeners; as well as those looking for information on their personal finances.

Major award to Bluffton Hospital

Bluffton Hospital Wins National Patient Satisfaction Award

Bluffton Hospital has received the 2009 Press Ganey Summit Award, a national award given to health care facilities that sustain the highest level of customer satisfaction for three or more consecutive years, according to Bill Watkins Bluffton Hospital CAO.

Bluffton Hospital was one of only 32 inpatient hospitals in the United States to receive the 2009 award.

The sun never sets on Icon readers

Obviously no one has tipped off Rick and Pat Shaner of The Icon's existence. Just out of curiosity, I check Google Analytics today. While probably 95 percent of the Icon viewers live in Allen, Hancock and Putnam counties we've become discovered across the U.S. and the globe.

We've had viewers in 43 states. Those states not on our radar screen include: North Dakota, Wyoming, Nevada, Arkansas, Mississippik, Delaware and...Alaska. Thus, the comment about the Shaners.
