FROM THE ADA ICON - One hundred music campers arrived on the ONU campus Sunday and will conclude their week of study and practice with concerts on Thursday and Friday in the Freed Center.

Ensemble concerts are set for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The next evening the full choir, band, and orchestras perform at 8 p.m. The public is invited.

The camp, for students in grades 7-12, draws aspiring musicians from several states and Germany.

Donations from Citizens National and First National go a long way to help local United Way

Two Bluffton banks stepped up and assisted the Bluffton, Beaverdam and Richland Township United Way in a very significant way, according to Neil Reichenbach. United Way treasurer.

He told The Icon, “The United Way of Bluffton, Beaverdam, and Richland Township would like to give a big thank you to Citizens National Bank and First National Bank for helping toward our national United Way dues.”

Reichenbach said that each bank donated $500.  For the 2015-2016 campaign year, the national dues increased from $500 to $1,500.

They're grilling for lunch on Thursdays at The Dough Hook

Have lunch plans?

The Dough Hook, 117 N. Main St., Bluffton, has  lots of ideas for you. For example, each Thursday in the summer from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Dough Hook grills for lunch.

According to Marlena Ballinger, sandwiches off the grill includes cheeseburgers, hamburgers, brats and MooOink burgers. (Those are one-half beef and one-half pork.)

If grilling doesn't do it for you, you can have your own sandwich in three easy steps: 1 - choose your meat
2 - choose your cheese
3 - choose your size

Five area students graduate from ONU

Five area students recently graduated from Ohio Northern University. They are:

Erica Bowling, daughter of Thomas and Kelly Heckman, 2459 County Road 29, Bluffton, graduated Magna Cum Laude. She received the Bachelor of Science in Nursing in nursing. Bowling is a graduate of Pandora- Gilboa High School.

Logan Skelly, son of Karen Musser, 401 Ethan Circle, Bluffton, received the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in marketing. Skelly is a graduate of Bluffton High School.
