Drivers' appreciation dinner June 12 at Beaverdam Church of Christ

A drivers' appreciation carry-in meal is planned at 1 p.m., Sunday, June 12, at the Beaverdam Church of Christ. The event is hosted by the Beaverdam Church of Christ and Second Chance Chapel.

Persons are invited to bring one hot and one cold dish. Table service and drinks will be provided.

The singing group New Dawning from Ft. Wayne, Ind., will perform. The event is open to the public.

Rev. Charles Warren recognized June 19 at Ebenezer Mennonite

The public is invited to take part in a very special day on Sunday, June 19, to celebrate Rev. Charles Warren's upcoming 90th birthday.

His actual birth date is Sept. 4, 1921, but his children are planning to be in the Bluffton area for several days in June.

The husband of Pastor Warren's youngest daughter, Paul Windsor, will be bring a special message on June 19 at Ebenezer Mennonite Church during the Worship Gathering beginning at 10:15 a.m.

Community worship on Presbyterian lawn June 26

The Bluffton Area Ministerial Association will conduct a community worship service at 9 a.m., Sunday, June 26, on the Bluffton Presbyterian Church lawn.

Ascension Day service June 2 at Trinity Lutheran

A special service will be held on Ascension Day, Thursday, June 2, at 7 p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera. The service, commemorates Jesus' ascension into Heaven. Everyone is welcome and the church is handicapped accessible. For more information, see: tlcjenera.org

Community "picnic" Thursday at 6 p.m. at Senior Center

It's time for a picnic. This week's community meal, set for 6 p.m., Thursday, June 2, at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center takes the feel of a picnic.

The menu includes hot dogs ready to be topped with your choice of ketchup, mustard, sauerkraut, onions, relish, cheese or chili sauce.

There will also be baked beans, potato salad, lettuce salad and your choice of dessert.

Members of the English Lutheran Church host this week's event.

Trinity Lutheran School graduation May 29

Trinity Lutheran School's graduation will be held on Sunday, May 29, in the 10:30 a.m. service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera.

Megan Ritter is the class speaker. The class members are: Kenzie Jordan Alge, Anna Marie Curth, Jacob Curdes Edwards, Megan Blair Ritter, Kyle Andrew Sands and Kyle Wayne Strahm.
