Taking a bite out of history

One of the former Steinman Lumber Company buildings is being devoured by progress this week. The building in question was at one time used to construct window frames in the late 1930s. The building faced Railroad Street near Cherry.

It's July and it looks like the library has some fun programming

“Imagine Your Story”​ continues through Aug. 15

The library is closed on July 3 and 4 in observance of Independence Day.

Bluffton Public Library’s​ ​Summer Program, “Imagine Your Story,”​ continues through July and ends Aug. 15.

During this time, the digital Summer Reading Challenge continues on the library’s Beanstack webpage (with paper forms available for those unable to access the digital version), and the library continues to offer events and services online to provide support, education, and entertainment. Herbs subject of Tuesday Bluffton Area Gardeners meeting

Bluffton Area Gardeners will meet at the community gardens on South Main Street at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 7.

Harvesting and using the herbs from your garden is the program, presented by Marge LaFollette.

"We will prepare a box containing VBS lessons and materials for you to do your own VBS from the safety of your home, according to VBS leaders.
