Bluffton men fall to Manchester 67-62

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - Bluffton University’s men’s basketball squad hit the road to face off with Manchester University on Wednesday, Jan. 13. The Spartans defeated the Beavers in the HCAC matchup, handing Bluffton its third consecutive loss for an 8-6 mark on the season (3-4 HCAC). The Spartans improved to 8-6 (5-2 HCAC).

Coming soon on Main Street

There's a new doc in town - and his office will be open soon. Dr. Matthew Ellerbrock, D.C., chiropractor, Spine and Soft Tissue Clinic, will open this winter in the former store front of Forever in Stitches, 120 N. Main St. Forever in Stitches remains in the rear of the building and has an entrance from the municipal parking lot. Watch the Icon for more details on the new doctor.

While lots is happening at the Bluffton elementary this winter (see story above), meanwhile the middle school is equally as busy. Here's some of the news items from the middle school website.

Elementary Christmas service project collects $1,735 - here's an update on elementary winter programs

Lots of events are in progress at the Bluffton Elementary in January and February. Some of that information follows (open the attachment at the bottom of this story for the January elementary newsletter, which lists additional items.)

ELEMENTARY CHRISTMAS SERVICE PROJECT:  The “Coins for Kids” project was a huge success. The elementary collected $1,735.39 to purchase gifts for three needy families in our community.

Bluffton Music Boosters now on Facebook

The Bluffton Music Boosters invite Icon viewers to "like" their new Facebook page.

Amy Mikesell said, "We are hoping that it will be a new source of communication to parents, grandparents and community members of the activity and needs of the Music Boosters.  We are simply looking for "likes" at "Bluffton Music Boosters."  

The pages includes lots of  photos from the Christmas concerts.
