Girls' soccer: Pirates topple Tiffin Columbian 2-1

The Bluffton Lady Pirates soccer team traveled to Tiffin Columbian for JV and Varsity matches on Wednesday evening.  Bluffton won both matches.

Junior varsity

Playing in the cold and rain, both teams executed a victory on TC's home field.  The JV won 2-0, with goals by Junior Kim Gordon, and Sophomore Hannah Yost.

Varsity

WIth a game start of 7 p.m., Senior Sarah Theisen scored goal 1 about 4 minutes in to the match with the assist by freshman Kayla White. 

The Tornados and the Lady Pirates succesfully defended their goals for the remaining 36 minutes, going in to the half at 1-0, but shortly into half 2, Abbie Parkins passed to Theisen once again who landed goal 2. 

A foul on Bluffton with 7 minutes to play gave TC a free kick and their only goal of the match.  Final score 2-1. 

The Lady Pirates take on Kalida on the road on Saturday.
