Hilty Home of Pandora announces that is it accepting registrations for its fall pre-school. The Center provides Child Care for children of employees and children of the community.

"It is a unique opportunity to have an intergenerational program for both the children and the residents of the nursing home and assisted living," said Joy Reichenbach, administrator.

The S.H.A.N.N.O.N. Service Club (Sharing Hopes And Nourishing Needs Of Neighbors) has several activities planned during Bluffton's sesquicentennial week, according to Duane Bollenbacher of the club.

July 1: Street Fair/Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This will be held on Church Street between Main and Jackson. Lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kids' activities will be provided, including free face-painting. Bluffton emergency officials were called to an injury traffic crash involving a golf cart at 11:01 p.m. on Sunday, June 19. The crash occurred on Riverbend Drive near Sycamore Court, which has a 25 m.p.h. speed limit.

Officers investigating the crash discovered Jessica J. Brockert, a 16- year-old Bluffton female, was on the back of the golf cart when she fell from the vehicle to the ground. At this time, it is not clear what caused the girl to fall from the moving cart, according to Rick Skilliter, Bluffton police chief.
