Nancy Yeager shares this recipe which she obtained from Mary and Mike Edmiston. She says that it's a great party favorite.

Chili Rellenos

1 lb. cheddar cheese, grated
1 lb. Monterey Jack, grated
12 oz. evaporated milk
4 eggs
chopped green chili (2 cans works well)
8 oz. tomato sauce (optional)

Grease a 9x13 pan. Layer half of the chili (1 can) on the bottom. Next layer all the cheddar cheese, then the remaining chili ( or can), and the jack cheese. Beat the egg whites and yolks separately.

The Bluffton High School Junior Class Post-Prom Committee will hold a spaghetti dinner/talent show at the middle school cafetorium from noon to 1:30 p.m., Sunday, March 7.

The talent show will start at 1 p.m. The meal includes spaghetti, salad, bread and beverage for $5. Desserts will be available for a donation. Tickets will be available in all three school offices and from any junior class member.

Bluffton teens will be tuning in as Bluffton Public Library celebrates the third annual Teen Tech Week March 7-13, according to Rikki Steingass of the library staff.

They join tousands of other libraries and schools across the country who are celebrating this year's theme, "Learn Create Share @ Your Library." Teen Tech Week is a national initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) aimed at teens, their parents, educators and other concerned adults.

When: Everyone will receive their questionnaire in March 2010 by U.S. Mail or hand delivery.

The Bluffton Senior Center is sponsoring a trip to the Canadian Rockies this summer according to Tonya Meyer, director.

The trip is Aug. 27 to Sept. 4. The fully-escorted and inclusive trip includes planes, trains, motor coaches and an "Ice Explorer."

"This beautiful nine-day tour from World Wide Country Tours, starts with a ride to the airport from the Bluffton Senior Center," said Meyer. "We fly from Columbus, to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where we will be met by our tour guide and taken to Banff for a welcome dinner."

The following committee meetings were set at the Feb. 22 council meeting:

The village is finalizing details on the Spring Street bridge deck replacement project. Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, provided a report to council on Feb. 22.

His report stated that he met recently with Brion Rhodes on the project. As the schedule stands currently the project is projected have bid advertisements in April. Those bids may be awarded by council at the second meeting in May.

Construction could take place from early July through October. No cost estimates were issued on the project on Feb. 22.

What is the role of the village concerning the Groves' Bear building? That question was discussed during the Feb. 22 Bluffton council meeting. The answer, according to Steve Chamberlain, village solicitor, follows: The role of the village in this issue is safety and general zoning.

The issue was discussed as a result the heavy snow, which caused an apparent structural problem to the building last week. The building has been closed to the public since Thursday.

On Wednesday, March 3, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, will hold a Lenten Service at 7 p.m.

Pastor Kenneth Engdahl from Grace Lutheran Church, Kenton, will preach on "Jesus Before Pilate-His Verdict or Ours." The students of grades 3-4 will sing "He Has Surely Borne our Sorrows" during the service and serve the meal which begins at 5:30 p.m.
