THE SIGN OF THE CROSS

Blame this on the Olympics and the fact that Scott Hamilton's voice is prominent during the analyses of the figure skating events. Every time I hear him speak, it makes me wish I were at the Olympics. Not that I want to watch the athletes -- which okay, yeah, I wouldn't mind that -- but mostly because I want to meet him.

4BUCKZ

The driver of the vehicle must be the most loyal Ohio State fan in Putnam County. Not only is the vanity plate a special Ohio State University plate. The wording on the plate says it all. Obviously "4BUCKS" must have already been taken.

Thanks to an e-mail conversation recently with Roger Triplett, we've discovered a fascinating website dedicated to the Triplett Corporation.

Roger, son of Ropp and Mary Emma Triplett, is a 1974 BHS grad. He says that the website was developed by a man in Europe who is a "fan of the Triplett meter." Roger supplied him with some photos from the Triplett archives. Darrell Groman supplied him with information about Bluffton.

We looked high and low for Old Abe, and finally found him in the Rosenberger parking lot. A bit late for Prez Day, but it was the thought that counts.
