A Bluffton Relay for Life kickoff will take place during the Saturday, Nov. 24, Blaze of Lights. The kickoff is from 3 to 8 p.m. A Relay table will be set up at the Blaze, which takes place downtown Bluffton.

Persons may sign up teams for this year's relay. Holiday activiteis, candy canes and ornaments will be available along with sponsorship and committee information.

Apollo Career Center announces that The Ohio Restaurant Association Education Foundation has selected Carrie Hamilton, Apollo Career Center, as Teacher of Distinction in the area of hospitality and food production as part of the Ohio ProStart program for the 2012-13 school year.

 

Bluffton High School's fall play is "Born to be Wild" by Bryan Starchman, with performances at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Nov. 16 and 17, in the Bluffton Middle School cafetorium. Tickets are adults general admission $3, and student general admission $1. Tickets are available at the door.

but it will be here before we know it!

This year Bluffton Senior Center and Signature Health Services will be hosting the first ever Christmas Cookie Walk as a fundraiser for the activities that the Senior Center provides for our area seniors.

Registrations are underway for several BFR winter events.

Holiday Indoor Soccer Tournament
There are divisions for U8 players all the way through adults. Cost for this tournament is $50. The tournament will be held the weekend of Dec. 14-16. The deadline for registration is Dec. 5. Members of the Bluffton Senior Citizens Association will hold a memorial service for its members who died between November 2011 and Octcber 2012. The service is part of the Monday, Nov. 12, dinner meeting. The meeting at at 6 p.m. at the Center.

BFR Sports and Fitness is currently accepting registrations for the Annual Tip-Off Basketball Festival for boy and girls 5th and 6th grade, accoridng to Carole Enneking. 

The boys' festival is Dec. 9 and the girls'  Dec. 8. Cost is $50 per team with each team guaranteed three games. Please visit BFR’s website for more information at www.bfronline.com or call 419-358-4150 for more information. A minimum of four teams is required to maintain a division.
