The community is invited to join a playgroup at Bluffton Presbyterian Church, 112 N. Main St. Bluffton. The playgroup is for children ages 1-4 accompanied by a parent, grandparent or babysitter. The group will meet in the nursery at Bluffton Presbyterian Church every Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. February 23-May 25. Please enter through the side door. No registration is necessary--just come! Bluffton Diamond Sports spring and summer baseball and softball sign-ups begin this week, according to Shawn Rayle and Erinn Prater. The sign-ups are for boys' ages 7-8, 9-10,11-12 and junior high. Girls’ age groups are 8-10, 11-13 and junior high.

The Midwest Electric Community Connections Fund awarded the Hilty Preschool and Child Care, Pandora, with a grant of $1,500 at a presentation ceremony in St. Marys.
Hilty Preschool and Child Care made the request in order to provide eight iPads for the Preschool program. The grant was awarded on Feb. 5.
WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The qualified athletes from the Bluffton University men’s and women’s track and field team competed Saturday at Otterbein University in the All-Ohio Championship meet. Not since 2010 have the Beavers brought home an All-Ohio champion, but they did today.
The Lenten season at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church begins on Ash Wednesday, February 18, with a service at 7 p.m. The first of six Wednesday evening services is titled “Anyone Who Sins is a Slave to Sin”, based on John 8:31-36. Pastor Jeff Bolwerk will deliver the message and the students in kindergarten through eighth grade will sing “Meditation for Lent." A soup supper will be served by the Ladies” Aid from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The church is handicapped accessible and all are welcome.
