Laura Jane Huffman, 47, of Pandora, Ohio, died on March 18, 2026 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay, Ohio, surrounded by her cherished family. She was born on June 23, 1978, to Don and Kathy (Pierman) Green. In 1999, she married her high school sweetheart, Joshua Huffman.

MEDIA RELEASE__A special Wednesday night service for Lent is planned at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, for March 25 at 7:00 p.m. 

Vicar Kelvin Johannes, from Immanuel Lutheran Church, Findlay's, sermon will be based on Zechariah 12:10-13: "Look at the One Who Was Pierced." Hymns will be: "Upon the Cross Extended, Stricken, Smitten and Afflicted, and Now the Light Has Gone Away."

FROM ONU.EDU__When Riley Creek overspreads its bank in Bluffton, Ohio, the consequences don’t stop at the village limits. The floodwater, laden with agricultural nutrients, eventually travels downstream and empties into Lake Erie.

For Katelyn Wagner, the floodwater’s journey is personal. Oregon, Ohio, is her hometown and those nutrient-heavy waters contribute to the algal blooms that threaten the safety of her family’s drinking water.

Galley Book Group - Mixed Titles (R ) will meet on Thursday, March 26 at 6:00 p.m. This discussion will be of an assortment of Galley books provided by the publishers, scheduled to be published between January and April 2026. Register for the discussion, read a book from the box as soon as you are able, return so others can read it and repeat as desired until the discussion date. At the discussion, the group will briefly talk about each book read, rate the titles, and discuss whether it is book-discussion-worthy.

10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's (R) Tuesday, March 24 at 5:30 p.m. Bluffton Public Library in collaboration with the Alzheimer's Association Northwest Ohio Chapter will host a presentation on Alzheimer signs to watch out for. Register in person or online.

The events are supported by GROB Systems of Bluffton.

Bring your snacks and chairs. Tipping and sponsors are welcome. Alcohol, tobacco and vaping are prohibited on church property.

Stop by the Bluffton Senior Center between 8:30 and noon to see some familiar, friendly faces and stock up on your favorite products.

Vendors will be meeting on Tuesday, March 31 at 7 p.m. to discuss the 2026 outdoor Farmers Market season. Vendors should bring the completed Vendor Agreement form.

The Board of Education has approved the Bluffton Exempted Village Schools budget for fiscal year 2026-2027 as requested by the Allen County Budget Commission in February. In a financial forecast provided to the State of Ohio, the district has estimated that expenditures will exceed revenues during Fiscal Years 2027-2029.
