MEDIA RELEASE__The District 13 Natural Resources Assistance Council (NRAC) has announced the opening of the FY 2027 application period for Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation funding, with approximately $6.7 million available to support the permanent protection of natural areas across west central Ohio.
Applications will be accepted from April 20 through August 13, 2026, and are open to projects in Allen, Auglaize, Hancock, Mercer, Putnam, and Van Wert counties.
MEDIA RELEASE__World Goods Et Cetera, 115 S. Main St. Bluffton, welcomes Lois Wetherill as Artist of the Month in April, with a display that highlights the craft of needle felting.
On April 18 at 2 p.m., Lois will give a free demonstration and explain how she makes her whimsical felted pieces. She will also be demonstrating in World Goods Et Cetera from 3-5:00 p.m. during the Bluffton Art Walk on April 23.
ADA__Nearly constant rain and an unbeaten foe defeated the visiting Bluffton High School softball team as the Pirates fell to the Ada Bulldogs 9-4 on a warm but wet Tuesday evening, March 31.
Ada jumped ahead with a five-run first inning, held off a Pirate rally and then finished strong with late insurance runs to stay undefeated.
Bluffton fell to 1-1 after the loss to their former long-time Northwest Conference foe. Red-hot Ada improved to 5-0 with the victory.
ADA__The visiting Bluffton High School baseball team lost to local rival Ada 5-4 via a walk-off walk to climax a rainy and warm contest on a very wet Tuesday evening, March 31, at War Memorial Park.
The close game featured five lead changes, and neither team ever led by more than one run in the rivalry battle.
The Pirates trailed 3-2 after five frames, but went ahead by plating two runs in the top of the sixth inning.
MEDIA RELEASE__Bluffton High School is pleased to announce that junior Kate Klinger has been selected as the 2026 March Student of the Month. Kate is the daughter of Wesley and Mandy Klinger of Bluffton.
Excelling in the classroom, Kate maintains an impressive 4.00 GPA, and a member of the National Honor Society. She has been recognized by Bluffton Schools for her educational achievements, earning academic awards in Latin I, Health, World History and Principles of Food/Personal Wellness.
