Regular self-exams can help detect cancer earlier

Performing regular breast self-exams can make all the difference in women's health.

That's why adult women are often advised to perform a breast self-exam at least once a month.

Here's what you need to know about detecting breast cancer.

There's still time to register your 5-to-12-year-ol in Bluffton Family Recreation's Good Eats Camp," according to Daniel Tinch of BFR.

The camp take place from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at BFR, 215 Snider Road. Cost is $20 for members and $40 for non-members.

Marcus Barnett, 64, died on Nov. 19, 2020 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.  Marcus was born Dec.18, 1955 in Ivyton, Kentucky, to the late Noah and Avenell (Perkins) Barnett. On March 2, 1974, he married Barbara Dudgeon Barnett who survives.

Marcus worked at Tower International in Bluffton for 37 years and was an active member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church, Mt. Cory.  .

The Bluffton Bread Company will sell a limited quantity of freshly-baked bread from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, and 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Root’s by Strattons, 111 S. Main St. 

Staple breads are $8 and specialty loaves are $12. Cash or credit card will be accepted.
