MAY 4 MEDIA RELEASE__Avery Ulrey has been recognized as the Bluffton Hight School Student of the Month for April 2026. Avery is a senior and the daughter of Nate and Emily Ulrey of Bluffton, Ohio.
Ulrey is a distinguished scholar, maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA throughout her high school career. She has challenged herself academically by taking College Credit Plus (CCP) coursework in psychology and medical terminology at the University of Findlay and composition and mathematics at Rhodes State College, demonstrating both initiative and a commitment to her future goals.
MEDIA RELEASE__The following students will be attending Buckeye Boys State and Buckeye Girls State events during the summer of 2026 courtesy of American Legion Post 382. Emmittt Kidd, Coby Dailey and Robert Glenn will be attending Buckeye Boys State at Miami University, June 14-21. They will learn how government works during "A Week to Shape a Lifetime."
FROM BPL UPDATE__On Thursday, May 14 from 5:30-7:15 p.m., local artist Jeanne Crumrine will teach a watercolor workshop on the lower level of Bluffton Public Library.
Walk away with your own watercolor piece of art, complete with mat! There is a $10 supply fee at the door (cash only). Register in person or online as space is limited. Open to adults, and teens and children with an accompanying adult.

Departs 6:45 a.m. Come visit the American Sign Museum and Jungle Jim’s International Market. We will have a guided tour of both AND have a scavenger hunt. In between we will have a yummy lunch at Tickle Pickle. Cost is $125 due at sign up. Level 3 lots of walking. Last day May 1.
MEDIA RELEASE__ A community bike swap will be held on Saturday, June 6, from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Bluffton Farmers Market.

MAY 1 MEDIA RELEASE__Since 1988, Rhodes State College has annually recognized one alumnus who has been exemplary in their career, service to community, and to the College with the Outstanding Alumni Award. The 2026 Rhodes State College Outstanding Alumni Award recipient is Greg Ring of Bluffton, who is a 1982 graduate of the former Lima Technical College, now Rhodes State College.
