FROM BSC NEWSLETTER__Trent Boedicker from Putnam County Homecare and Hospice will be leading a non-denominational Bible Study at the Bluffton Senior Center starting on Monday October 20 at 9:30 and running for six weeks. Trent has been in full-time ministry for the past 25 years, over 20 of those years at Grace Gospel Church in Ada. The study is called "The I Am Sayings of Jesus: Knowing Christ More Deeply". Reservations requested so that we have enough materials ready.

COLUMBUS GROVE__ The Bluffton cross country teams competed in the Northwest Conference championship meet at Columbus Grove on Saturday, October 11.
The Pirate boys finished fifth out of five teams, while the Bluffton girls came in fourth out of four teams at the league race.
Crestview won the boys team title with 24 points, while Columbus Grove finished second with 31. Lincolnview was third (72), followed by Allen East (126) and Bluffton (128).
OCT 8 MEDIA RELEASE__Bluffton University has elected three alumni to its board of trustees: Pete Suter, Malissa Takacs and Matt McQuown.

Suter, of Bluffton and Pandora, Ohio, is a two-time Bluffton graduate. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and business administration in 1994 and a master's degree in organizational management in 2002. He later completed a doctorate in business administration in marketing at Anderson University in 2008 and is pursuing a law degree at the University of Toledo.

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School football team stomped visiting Fort Loramie 42-9 in a Northwest Conference mismatch on Senior Night Friday, October 10, at Harmon Field.
The evening was also the last regular season home game for BHS marching band director of 30 years, Dave Sycks.
The one-sided home victory lifted the Pirates to 7-1 overall and 4-1 in NWC play.

(R) Lisa Robeson, Professor Emerita of English at ONU, will be leading a book discussion on World War Z by Max Brooks on Wed., Oct. 29 at 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the library.
